Air Assault is a branch of Wisconsin PoWer VBC. Air Assault was started in Wild Rose in 2011 and moved to Stevens Point in 2013. Air Assault is directed by Ruth Leitzke. Leitzke is a Charter member of the Badger Region and has been with Wisconsin PoWer since it's founding in 1999. She has been a driving force in the growth of volleyball in the state of Wisconsin. Leitzke led Wisconsin PoWer's growth from a 5 team, one location club to a 50+ team club in 5 cities. Over 600 athletes benefit from the programs and staff she assembles each year.
In the 2015-16 club season Leitzke put Laine Leitzke at the head of the Air Assault program and they had the best season in the history of the program. Laine Leitzke grew up in a volleyball household and brings a wealth of coaching experience to Air Assault. He has head coaching experience from Horicon High School, Kewaskum High School and Club Volleyball. Additionally, he has been a lead coach for Molten Volleyball Camps, he has worked Wilde for Volleyball Camps, with Olympian Rod Wilde, and University of Nebraska Volleyball Camps.
